Story
Studio Vreeken was born from my love for drawing, painting and interior design.
From a young age I have been engaged with form, color and composition. In certain phases of my life this moved more into the background, but creativity was always present.
After studying Product Design, I found my way into the interior world. There I discovered how art can truly complete a space. Through my work I received my first commissions and began creating intensively again in my free time. The enthusiastic responses gave me the confidence to share my work, and in 2019 I founded Studio Vreeken.
What started as a personal outlet alongside my full time job gradually grew into a creative path in which I could fully be myself. I continued to experiment, learned new techniques and step by step developed my own style.
OUR FOUNDER
Meet Sharon
In my work I combine traditional techniques such as pencil and paint with digital art and 3D forms. I draw my inspiration from everyday life, from light, people, shapes and moments that are present at that time. I have a fascination with warm, worldly influences, with subtle references to South American atmospheres, western details and diversity in character and appearance.
Color plays an important role in my work. From soft neutral tones to vibrant pinks and greens, color defines the mood, evokes emotion and brings balance. I use color intuitively, as a language through which I translate feeling into image.
The female portrait forms the common thread throughout my work. The woman, her posture, gaze and emotion remain an inexhaustible source of inspiration. This results in art that feels recognizable, yet always personal and constantly evolving.
My Vision
Art should complete an interior. It can bring color, add character and define the atmosphere of a space. A well chosen artwork may stand out and can be the eyecatcher that brings everything together.
My goal is to create art that evokes something, that adds energy or, on the contrary, a sense of calm. I want my work to be accessible to everyone, which is why, alongside original paintings, I also offer high quality prints in various sizes and price ranges. In my work I seek a balance between calm and expression, between simplicity and detail. This results in art that makes an interior personal and truly lets it speak.
